2 months pregnant!

It's amazing to me that we are at this point!  We can hear the heartbeat clearly on our at-home Doppler (although I have a hard time finding it, while Dennis has no problem!) and morning sickness still hasn't been too bad.  My mom apparently didn't have much morning sickness either and the Psi-Band that I wear morning to night helps as well (thanks Bree!!!).

I never posted my one month photo, so here's both photos for comparison.  Definitely some pudge there now!

1 month - Oct 20

2 months - Nov 20

My thought was that even when I get to maternity clothes, I can still do a black shirt and jeans for all of the photos.  This is the same shirt and jeans, but have to wear a belly belt with the jeans, otherwise I wouldn't be able to breathe when I sit down!!!

Also, I'm SO excited that over the past few days my very good IVF friends Amanda and Bree had positive Betas!!!  I can't think of better moms-to-be and am so happy for them!!!

2nd ultrasound

I've been horrible about posting lately.  Things have been crazy at work and we've either been too busy or I've been too tired at home to write anything at all.

On Friday, November 2nd, we had our first OB appointment.  After all the exciting RE appointments, the OB appointment was pretty boring.  Urine test, blood work, and discussing family history and that was it!  I go back in 4 weeks on November 29th for my 11 week appointment.

This past Wednesday, however, we had our graduation appointment with Dr. Saffan!  Another ultrasound showed that Peanut is still measuring 2 days ahead.  At the appointment, I was officially 7 weeks, 6 days, but he/she was measuring at 8 weeks, 1 day.  There was no question about heartbeat this time (172 bpm) and Dennis and I could see it right away without any help from the technician.  They also pointed out the head, rump, arm buds, and a leg bud.  It's amazing how developed Peanut is already when he/she is only the size of a raspberry!!  I pointed out the head, an arm, and a leg in the picture below, but it was definitely clearer on the screen in the office.

I also caved a bought an at-home fetal monitor.  4 weeks between appointments just seems too long after the longest time of 2 weeks in IVF.   Heartbeat should show up on Doppler as soon as 9 weeks, which measuring would be on Tuesday, which is about the time it should be delivered!
